Video Games Localization into Arabic: Gamers' Reactions to Localizing PUBG and Free Fire

The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region has an active gaming community, with Arab gamers being reliant on games produced in Europe, America, Japan due to the lack of significant game production companies MENA region. This study explores gamers' reactions localization process two video games, namely PUBG Free Fire. For data collection purposes, a five-point Likert scale questionnaire that consisted 18 items six constructs, need for subtitled technical aspects, language issues, preference, attitudes localization, future actions recommendations, was designed elicit 112 participants. Upon analyzing responses, findings showed better aspects issues games' performance, more positive participants' localization. recommends further research could be conducted different themes into Arabic.
